Jeff Cregeur
Minister of Music

Jeff Cregeur is a classical tenor, pianist, and composer who received his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Music Composition at the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford in 2018. He trained formally for 8 years on piano in both classical and jazz styles, and continues his exploration of the instrument to this day. He currently studies voice as a tenor with Valerie Sorel and Eric Trudel where he focuses on opera and classical concert music.

 

Jeff has directed and conducted numerous musicals around Connecticut at various high schools, and community theaters. He also teaches voice and piano privately through Cregeur Music Studio, is the music minister at South Congregational Church in East Hartford, the music director/teacher at The Williams School, and the Artistic Director of The CitySingers of Hartford. He is also a co-founder and brand creator of the concert series organization, MOSAICS, in 2022 based out of the East Hartford area. 

 

He was awarded the Maestro Award in 2013 at the Heritage Music Festival in Annapolis, MD for his first original choral composition, and later that year had his second choral piece, “Look to the Rose”, premiered by Voce Inc. in Hartford, CT during their East meets West concert. Some other local premiere venues for his compositions include The New Britain Museum of American Art and The Hartt School of Music. Most recently, his latest work “There will come soft rains” was premiered by The CitySingers of Hartford on their Songs! Visions of My Homeland concert.
